I decided to take advantage of this bright, crisp winter day to get out, grab some pictures of the local landmark and experiment with high dynamic range (HDR) photography. For my first try, I think it came out pretty nicely. HDR is achieved by combining a number of pictures of the same subject taken with different exposures. Above is the combined picture. I included one of the exposures used on the right to show the difference.
